Sie kommen aus Görlitz - mehr Osten kann man geografisch nicht haben, obwohl der Sound dieser Band vielleicht eher auf den britischen Inseln der 90er Jahre zuhause ist. Cancelled just kiddin selbst (Johann, Carl, Clara, Paul) bezeichnen ihren manchmal funkigen Gitarrenrock einfach als „Popmusik“, die Genre-Neologismen überlassen sie lieber den anderen. Eventuell die deutsche Antwort auf Oasis, obwohl es nie eine Frage gab. Egal, jedenfalls immer echt und garantiert ohne einstudierte Ansagen zwischen den Songs!
Die Underground-Szene kann nun zu ihren neuen Idolen aufblicken, denn außer ihr kennt sie nämlich wirklich niemand. Sie sind einfach die sympathische Band von gegenüber, bei der das Wichtigste das Wichtigste bleibt: die gute Musik.
They come from Görlitz – geographically, you couldn’t get any more "East" than that, even though the sound of this band might feel more at home on the British Isles in the '90s. "Cancelled just kiddin’" themselves (Johann, Carl, Clara, Paul) describe their occasionally funky guitar-driven rock simply as "pop music," leaving genre neologisms to others. Maybe Germany’s answer to Oasis, even though there was never a question about it. Anyway, one thing's for sure: always real, and guaranteed to not include rehearsed stage banter between songs!
The underground scene can now look up to their new idols, because outside of it, literally no one knows them. They're just the friendly band from across the way, where the most important thing is… well, the good music.
